RIASS Drop in Sessions
As you may be aware RIASS is currently holding 2 Drop in Sessions a week throughout the borough. On Mondays we are at the Engagement Hub on Ilford Lane and on Fridays we are at Gearies Children Centre.
We will be opening a new Drop in Session in the Gants Hill area in the summer and as soon as we have more details we will update you.
Empowering Deaf Society – Street Party
EDS (Empowering Deaf Society) are holding a street party On Saturday 13th July. It will take place at St Laurence Church in Barkingside from 12.00pm – 6.00pm. There will be food, entertainment, children’s activities and lots of information stalls. Please see the attached flyer for more details.
Disability Festival in the Park
Redbridge’s annual Disability in the Park Festival is back in Christchurch Green, Wanstead on Wednesday 17th July and will be bigger than ever. If you’ve never been to the festival before, you are missing out! We have workshops, market stalls, accessible sports, arts and crafts as well as a main stage filled with talented singers and dancers. Click on the poster attached for more information.
Family Fund - Discover More Support
The family Fund are excited to let you know that they have launched a free 'Discover more support' search tool on their website. Families raising a disabled child or young person can use it to find organisations that offer support. Parents and carers can browse through the 130 organisations to help with money, benefits, mental health, wellbeing, education, learning and disability.
Access DLR
The DLR now offers a free travel assistance service called Access DLR for anyone 18 or older who needs extra support from our trained staff.
