Maths Trip to the British Museum

A group of year 7 and 8 students were taken on a reward trip to the British Museum. Students enjoyed participating in the 10 activities that were available throughout various galleries.
Students were to solve mathematical challenges supplied by the Museum. The challenges were designed to focus on developing students' mathematical and critical thinking by using key processes and applying a variety of mathematical concepts to unfamiliar concepts. Students did not just enjoy the maths challenge tasks but also the wide range of historical and cultural lessons that it entailed within them.
