The Art Department organised a trip to Tate Modern for Year 11 students studying Art, Photography & Textiles. Students went to gather primary source images for their current Exam Unit. Students explored historic artwork, modernism in the early 1900s and exciting works created today. This included paintings, sculptures and more made by artists all over the world such as Pablo Picasso, Carla Accardi, and the Hyundai Commission by Mire Lee.

They experienced Tate’s iconic Turbine Hall and the Natalie Bell Building as well as the Blavatnik Building where they explored the underground Tanks, dedicated to performances, installations and video works. Students were enriched with research and knowledge and took amazing photographs to use in their current exam project.
