Basketball at the Copper Box arena
BackOn Wednesday 7th February 43 Loxford students were able to attend and watch elite level basketball at the Copper Box arena in Stratford, the home of London Lions. It was a thrilling encounter against BC Wolves in the EuroCup. BC Wolves were victorious, winning by a margin of 85-80.
The students all enjoyed the atmosphere and fantastic athleticism on display.
Students were also fortunate to meet current WBO Cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith, who was kind enough to answer questions and to take a photo with the students.
The PE department would like to say thank you to all the students who attended and to the finance department, Miss Yarwood, Ms Zaman and Mr Mackay, for their support in organising this trip.
