Loxford in the month of May
BackWithin the month of May our students took part in the following activities:-
- Year 8 Parents’ Evening
- The Army came in to organise some workshops with our students Year 7 & 8
- 18th May was National Numeracy Day which was celebrated worldwide and our Year 7 & 8s completed online competitions
- A Finance Workshop led by Barclays came to school to talk to our students in Year 9-13 about opportunities within their company
- Loxford students took part in “The Hour Competition” organised by the The World Wildlife Fund. The school received a certificate of excellent for their participation
- Pro Training awarded “The Good Samaritan” Award to Mr Curcio for setting up First Aid training for all year groups
- The school was engaged for a full week on the subject of “The risk of vaping”. This was delivered in tutor time where students had to sit a quiz to assess their understanding of the course
- The school organised a “Queen Jubilee” competition. The winner was a Year 7 student, Ayaan Khan. Many students contributed excellent drawings, crowns and poems
- The Anti-Bullying cohort received a ‘shout out’ on their Instagram page for their canvas bag project
We visited the following places:-
- The SEN department took a group of Year 10 students on a Safer Travel Training trip
