Within the month of January our students took part in the following activities:
Our Year 11 Parents’ Evening had an amazing 99% turnout
30 Year 12 students attending a Criminology Workshop presented by the City University at Loxford
We also held our Year 9 Parents’ Evening and received a 97% turnout
We visited the following places:
14 Year 7s visited the Natural History Museum to take part in a free workshop to promote greater understanding of the physical world
12 Year 9 students attended the “It All Adds Up” Annual Conference in Oxford
5 Year 9 students attended a Youth Conference at City Hall, London and had a great experience
16 Year 10 Computer Studies students visited the Apple Store at Lakeside to engage in creative fun programming projects using the latest state of the art products designed by Apple, this included the newest iPad, iPhone and Mac devices
17 Year 12 students went to the Science Museum to see a Cryptology Exhibition
Our Year 11 GCSE PE students went to Ilford Athletics Stadium as part of their practical portfolio
A group of Year 10s went on a trip to the Tower of London
Loxford took part in many sporting fixtures:
Year 7 basketball lost to Issac Newton 20-28
Year 9/10 netball took part in the Essex Cup at Halstead and lost 4-41
Our Year 8 athletics students took part in an indoor athletics competition at Mayfield School
Year 8 netball defeated Oaks Park 5-3
Year 9 netball defeated Oaks Park 8-3
Year 9 netball defeated Mayfield 8-3
12 Year 7 students attended an indoor athletics competition at Beal School
