Year 10 V&A Art, Textiles & Photography trip
BackThe Art department organised a school trip to the Victoria & Albert Museum for Year 10 students studying Art, Textiles & Photography. Students went to gather primary source images for their current "Colour" Project.
Students visited the South Asia Gallery, the Japan and China Galleries, Islamic and middle East Gallery where they saw the Famous Ardabil Carpet as well as visiting the Cast courts with large sculptures such as Michaelangelo's David.
Students also visited the Silver and Mosaics Gallery, The Jewellery collection including some iconic jewels from the late Queen Victoria and the Photography Gallery. Students were enriched with research and knowledge and took amazing photographs to use in their current project.
